Dear Sister in Christ,
Welcome to the new COMMIT Clubs website! I hope you will be encouraged in the Lord as you browse these pages, and better equipped to disciple young ladies in whatever way He may lead.
COMMIT stands for Cultivating Obedience, Ministering Mercy, Internalizing Truth. Initiated in Austin, Texas in 1999, as a girls’ club led by Christianna Reed, COMMIT has expanded to serve thousands of young ladies and their mothers through conferences and clubs around the country. The goal of the COMMIT ministry is to inspire young ladies to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, to embrace their amazing calling as servants of God, and to make Godly commitments before facing the pressures of young adulthood.
To learn more about COMMIT Conferences, see our story of COMMIT page or visit the COMMIT Conferences website . This website is devoted primarily to COMMIT Clubs, local discipleship groups which are independently operated by young ladies who feel a calling from the Lord in that area. You can learn about starting a commit club, or read testimonies or articles written by young ladies.
Elizabeth Elliot once observed, "The preoccupations of teenage girls, their looks, their clothes, their social lives, do not change very much from generation to generation. But in every generation, there seem to be a few who make other choices." We pray that you, and those whom you disciple, will be among those few. In I Corinthians 2:9 God promised "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him."
Through Christ,
